EDA Software Term License Renewal
A Fortune 500 automotive parts manufacturer was at the end of a three-year term for two license agreements. They had already worked with the vendor to reduce license costs by over $1,000,000 on a global deployment but they still needed to lower the costs of engineering software used to develop new products. The vendor told them they had given them their best and final offer.
By developing a matrix of installed software and comparing it to the client’s business requirements we found a better way to license the software that met engineering needs. In addition, our comprehensive market intelligence showed the discount offered by the vendor was not competitive.
The two agreements were combined into one, providing greater flexibility in licensing and reducing the cost by an additional $600,000.
