A utility company was looking to improve the value of its desktop operations and productivity software assets while maintaining the highest levels of support and service in a new enterprise agreement. The client did not want licensing changes that would require new software distribution.
An evaluation of the current contracts and proposals uncovered several areas of opportunity for improvements. A comprehensive strategy was developed and direct face-to-face negotiations were completed with the vendor.
A customized license model with price concessions was secured resulting in a reduction of $1,284,857 in the enterprise agreement without changes in software distribution.
